Beef & Guinness Pies

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 500g beef mince
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 1 carrot, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 cup Guinness or beer
  • 500ml Campbell’s Real Stock - Beef
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed


  1. Pre-heat oven to 200ºC. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add mince, onion and carrot. Cook for 4 minutes or until meat has browned.

  2. Add peas, Worcestershire sauce and flour. Cook for 1 minute, stirring.

  3. Add Guinness and Campbell's Real Stock, bring to the boil, stirring until just thickened. Divide between four 2-cup capacity ovenproof dishes.

  4. Cut pastry into quarters and place on top of each pie. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden.

  5. Serve with steamed vegetables.
